I cannot access many functions (like the cost management function) even though I have a student account and a credit of $100.

Here I have shared a screenshot of my account in which on the left-hand side you can see that the functions are not accessible and the error message prompted on the screen that "Cost Management requires access to a supported billing account or subscription. Please select a supported scope or create a new subscription to use Cost Management."

Kindly resolve this issue as soon as possible as I have an exam by the end of this week.

@Manisha Sudambhai Patole - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

The error message indicates that you need to have access to supported billing account or subscription in order to use cost management.

You can check if you have the required permissions by following these steps:

    • Go to the Azure portal and sign in with your credentials.
    • Navigate to the Cost Management + Billing page.
    • Select the billing account or subscription you want to use.
    • Check if you have the required permissions to access the billing account or subscription.

If you don't have the required permissions, you can ask your administrator to grant you access.

If you don't have a supported billing account or subscription, you can create a new subscription by following these steps:

    • Go to the Azure portal and sign in with your credentials.
    • Click on "Create a resource" and search for Subscription.
    • After you select that, create a new subscription.

Once you have access to a supported billing account or subscription, you should be able to use Cost Management without any issues.

Please take a look at the below docs for more information:
