Thank you for your post and I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue by using a link to Azure AD provided by one of your colleagues!

Error Messages:
-
Error AADSTS50020 - User account from identity provider does not exist in tenant -
An error occurred when trying to retrieve the email address. This functionality is disabled. If this continues to occur, reach out to your tenant administrator.
Issue:
- Your user initially didn't belong to any Azure AD organization, and you were signing in so that your employer could invite your user to their Azure AD tenant.
- When signing into the Azure Portal you were receiving the above AADSTS error message notification.
- When navigating to the
"My information"tab, you were running into the"error occurred when trying to retrieve the email address"message. - When your employer was sending an invitation to your Gmail account, you weren't receiving the B2B invitation, so you couldn't accept it.
Solution:
- Using a link to your employers' Azure AD tenant provided by another user - you were able to login, set the current directory, and change your email address to your Gmail address, which resolved your issues.
I somehow got it working by using a link to the Azure Active Directory provided by another user. It asked me to accept to share my data with the Tenant and then I could access the Directory. The Directory showed up in my Directories list, and I can set it as the current Directory. I was then able to set my email to my gmail and all of my errors seem to be fixed.
If I missed anything please let me know and I'd be happy to add it to my answer, or feel free to comment below with any additional information.
