Hello @Mark Renoden
Thank you for reaching out. I would like to share following details with you:
- The Tenant Schema Extension App is a system-only application that can't be deleted and attribute extension definitions can't be removed. This is also documented on following article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/connect/how-to-connect-sync-feature-directory-extensions
- This application only gets added when you setup AD Connect and enable the Directory Extensions feature.
If this is application is blocking Azure AD Tenant Deletion then you can try to perform below:
- Browse to Azure Portal.
- Browse to Help + Support and click on New Support Request.
- Raise a Billing or Subscription Management Support request which is free and does not require any support plan.
- Document your ask in the description section properly confirming that you are unable to delete Azure AD Tenant since Tenant Schema Extension App is blocking it.
- Billing Team should be able to engage Engineering Team to have this cleaned up and then you should be able to delete the Azure AD Tenant.
I hope this helps and hence would request you to please "Accept the answer" if the information helped you. This will help us and others in the community as well.
