How to disable Microsoft Defender for cloud

Hi I'm practicing cloud, currently my subscription ended and I'm on pay as you go model with Basic Plan. Now Issue is this Microsoft Defender from cloud is costing me a lot almost half of my bill as per cost analysis. Considering I'm not using cloud for professional usage I'd like to disable it to save some cost.

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

As I understand you would like to disable defender for cloud within your subscription. There is no direct option to disable, but you can go to this section within defender for cloud and change the status to off for all the resources, so that they dont get onboarded/monitored by defender for cloud within your subscription.

This worked fine before Microsoft made a change and now you can only disable the plan for applications, not storage, key vaults or other resources including being able to disable CSPM which is $15/m. I have a Visual Studio subscription which is limited to $150/m and it consumes $98/m, thus disabling my subscription after 13days.
