Error when Verifying Phone Number for E5 Tenant

I am trying to activate my E5 Tenant, but when I add my Swedish mobile number to receive the code for verification, I get the error message: We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:

Your phone number did not pass security checks.

MS-CorrelationId: 00000000-8cfd-4210-b654-edfe0a0892d6 Code: 40301

Same issue in the US. Issues appear to be trending and all Microsoft official responses have been generic and not addressing root cause which appears to be a Microsoft issue.

This couldn’t be more frustrating. Thinking it was something I did wrong, I tried different phone numbers, accounts, usernames, passwords, etc. ad nauseum. Then after a lot of searching, I find this (thank you Eric K). Why wouldn’t Microsoft add a simple “We’re currently experiencing issues with Microsoft 365 E5 subscription” to a banner on the landing page? Don’t get me wrong - I’m grateful the Dev Program exists and is free. But, in the words of Dr. Evil, throw us a frickin bone here!! It would’ve saved hours wasted on this… p.s. the Viva chill music didn’t help.
As far as the international phone numbers being an issue - it may be an issue but it’s not THE issue. My phone numbers are all from US. Error:

Same issue here and wasted more and more time.. just for simple tests.. costs exploded and I'm not able to perform simple tests at a "virgin" tenant without any miss-configurations.. happy to tell the boss "sorry, but it's an "IMF" job and the mission failed, so this were the additional costs, you have to pay now.. And: The money is gone, too."

Did anyone ever find a solution to this as I tried signing up, via my Visual Studio subscrtipion, with my office phone number, but can't get past the phone check as it says my phone is not supported. Great, but where's the alternative like email or authenticator app?

Hi, According to the article it is supported in the united kingdom, which i am in trying to sign up to learn your products and take your exams which results in you getting money can't really do without! put my number in and it errors out
