Hi, I am UK based and am currently using Azure Communications Services to send SMS messages from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id, but noticed that when adding a URL or a hyperlink, I’m not receiving the text message on my test device (or any error message in my application). I found this article (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1085106/send-sms-with-hyperlinks) that talks about verifying phone numbers for SMS sending but am wondering if it is possible to send from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id in the UK? Thank you.

@Simon Dix Regarding your question, sending SMS messages with hyperlinks from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id is possible in the UK. However, there are some restrictions on the content that can be sent from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id. Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Ids are used to send SMS messages that appear to come from a company or brand name instead of a phone number. These sender IDs are alphanumeric and can contain up to 11 characters. However, some carriers may not support Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Ids or may have restrictions on the content that can be sent from them. Regarding the issue you are facing with hyperlinks, it is possible that the carrier you are using does not support hyperlinks in SMS messages sent from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id. I would recommend checking with your carrier to see if they support hyperlinks in SMS messages sent from a Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender Id. Additionally, you may want to check if the URLs you are using are valid and not blocked by the carrier. Some carriers may block URLs that are known to be malicious or spammy. Please let us know if you are not being restricted by any carrier. If not, we can assist you further.
