outlook for MAC the online archive folder not visible after upgrade to 16.43

Our setup is office 365 with E3 licenses.

User has purely updated his outlook and now can no longer see his online archive folder in the mac client.
It is visible when he looks via the web.
Any ideas.

Outlook related issue, to better solve it, we added the Outlook tag. Thanks for your understanding.

Any idea when this is targeted for inclusion in the product? This thread was started in nov last year and the problem had been happening before that.

Hi @PaulWinward-3392,

According to your description, the Online Archive folder can work fine on your web mail. So, we could infer that the issue is more related to your Outlook for Mac client.

As I know, Microsoft has released the new Outlook for Mac recently. Are you using the new Outlook for Mac now? If this is your case, I'm afraid that your issue might be normal. As the official document mentions, features like Online archive and others in this screenshot have not been available in the new Outlook for Mac yet. It is suggested for you to continue to use the old Outlook experience for now. (You could click the New Outlook button again to switch back.) Please wait for the update of new Outlook for Mac to support more features before switching to the new Outlook.

Any idea on the timeline for implementation of online archive folders in New Outlook for Mac. It looks like it's been several months and still no archive folders.

I've been able to switch back to Old Outlook when I need to get to my archives, but it can take a long time for it to update based on how long it's been since I switched to it last?

Switching back to Old Outlook enabled the Online Archive Folder for me.

You should not have to do this. Microsoft needs to get this app finished. This slow development process is ridiculous!

After more than one year this crucial feature is still missing. Can we please get it realized?

Really? It's September 2021, and this so-called "new" Outlook is STILL not feature complete! Why does Microsoft do this at such a glacial pace? There should not be a "new' Outlook by now. It should be the default app, and the old one should be gone. How can users switch to this "new" version if Microsoft is going to continue this slow process and not make the app feature complete? Outlook for Mac has always been lacking compared to the Windows version. This is one of the reasons why I use the default Apple Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, and Notes apps. They work. They work reliably and they do exactly what the name of the apps imply and they don't try to be all things to all people like Microsoft apps do. There is no excuse for this painfully slow development process and I'm sick and tired of hearing complaints from my users about the many failings about Outlook for Mac.

I am now getting the below info in my new New Outlook.
However I still don't see the Personal Archive/Online Archive folder in my sidebar – in the Old Outlook, it's there.

It would be great to get an update on what the status on this matter is.
Thank you.

I filled a ticket due the same issue. On some PC the Online Archive shows up, not on others.. The ticked was closed with no answer and that "were passing the info to developer" but with a poor service support. The issue is there and persistent and seems many user are affected.
