    Hello @JTech,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I would suggest you start to use Visual Studio 2022 Community version. It is a free version.

    The license terms mentioned:

If you are an individual working on your own applications, either to sell or for any other purpose, you may use the software to develop and test those applications.

You can download VS 2022 Community from here: Downloads. After you click the "Free download" button, a setup file will be downloaded, run it, select the workloads and the components that you want to use for developing, then install it.

After finishing installing VS, you can launch it, create your own solution/project and develop it.

Here’s the document about how to install Visual Studio.

Besides, about activating Visual Studio, you need to sign in VS by using your Microsoft account or a work or school account. If you don’t have one, you can create a Microsoft account for free. More details, please check this document: Sign in or switch Visual Studio user accounts.

Feel free to let us know if you have any further concerns :)

    Have a great day.

    Sincerely,

    Tianyu
