Inquiry Regarding Subscription Upgrade for SMS Service Configuration

I am currently on a Pay-As-You-Go subscription plan and am trying to set up an SMS service within the communication services. However, I am encountering the following message: "Your current subscription is not eligible for Public Switched Telephony Network (PSTN) and SMS products."

Could you please guide me on which subscription plan I should upgrade to in order to configure and use the SMS service effectively

    @James D It seems like you are having trouble obtaining a phone number for your Communication Service.

    Based on the error message you received, it appears that-

    your current subscription is not eligible for Public Switched Telephony Network (PSTN) and SMS products.

    To purchase phone numbers in Azure Communication Services, you need to have a subscription that supports phone number capabilities. Currently, phone number capabilities are available in the following subscription offers:

    • Modern Customer Agreement (Field and Customer Led)
    • Modern Partner Agreement (CSP)
    • Enterprise Agreement*
    • Pay-As-You-Go

    Additionally, you may want to ensure that your billing address is in a supported region.

    You can check the supported billing locations on the subscription eligibility.

    Subscription eligibility offers changes based on the country in which you are trying to purchase the phone number.

    If you have confirmed that your subscription is a paid Azure subscription and your billing address is in a supported region, you may want to reach out to the Azure Communication Services support team for further assistance.
