Hi, can I check if an existing Singapore number (with country code +65) registered with whatsapp business API can be connected to Azure communication services.

We intend to build our own chat app but was shocked when someone from Microsoft told us that Azure communication services currently does not support phone numbers from Singapore.

Is this true?

    Raphael Kan,
If you bought the phone number from ACS: The ACS phone numbers don't support Send/Receive SMS, and this is one of the requirements from Meta to have the phone number able to Send/Receive SMS. -If you are using your own phone number, please confirm that Phone number isn't associated with a WhatsApp Business Account (I believe those are limitations from Meta, I'm unable to find an official Meta doc), based on my understanding, you can’t have one phone number linked up for both WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business ( for this you may confirm with Meta support)
