Hyper-V VM settings inaccessible, settings window remains in constant loading state

I'm running Windows Server 2022. When trying to open the settings window for any given VM in hyper-v, the window will open but remain in a constant loading state, leaving me unable to modify any of the VM settings. The VMs themselves continue to run just fine. I have already restarted the hyper-v management service, as well as rebooted the physical host server. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

    Hi Ryan,

    Hope you're doing well.

    1. Ensure that the Integration Services are up to date for your VMs.
    2. In addition, please provide us the following information:

Please open PowerShell on Host as an administrator and input the following command and provide us the screenshot:

    Get-VM

    Best Regards

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I believe integration services are up to date- and when I transfer a VM to another server the settings will work just fine, leading me to believe there is something specific going on with this server rather than it being an issue with the VMs themselves.

    Here is the requested screenshot:

    Hi Ryan,

    Good day!

    Sorry for the late reply.

You think that the Integration Services is up to date, and when you move the VM to another server, the setup works fine, leading you to think that the issue might be with that server, rather than with the VM itself.

You may try the following steps:

    1. Make sure your Windows Server 2022 has the latest updates and patches installed, including Hyper-V related updates.
    2. Check the configuration of Hyper-V and virtual machines to ensure they have sufficient resources.
    3. Consider Hyper-V reinstallation: If the problem persists, you may want to consider reinstalling the Hyper-V role.

    Best Regards
