Cannot hide extensions from toolbar

I just went to use Edge and the extension icon had appeared in my toolbar, I right clicked it and selected to hide it but then suddenly all my extension icons appeared on my toolbar taking up space. I now cannot hide any extensions that don't need any interaction from me (such as antivirus etc.) and they are talking up a lot of space.

I tried uninstalling it, but all I could do was Repair it, but nothing worked. I cleared my cache etc and nothing worked. All bar one extension come from the Chrome Web Store.

    Good Day Christir86,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc and Edge browser. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.

    Reset the Edge

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.

    -Go to Settings

    -Look for Reset Settings

-Click Restore settings to their default values.

(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

Restart your computer and try to hide the extensions.

-Right click on the Extension icon and click Hide Extension.

If issue persists you can re-install the Edge using this link below

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...

Download and install the version 92.0.902.55

Once downloaded and installed restart your computer and try to hide the Edge Extensions.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

Resetting Microsoft Edge did nothing, and when I installed it again from that link (though it didn't start as a fresh reinstall) it does show the extension icon in the toolbar, but still all options to hide extensions are greyed out:

NB: I have also installed Microsoft Edge Beta which is working as it should, so I think me originally hiding the Extension icon in Microsoft Edge has broken something.

    Good Day Christir86,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, what is the version of Edge that was installed in your device, can you please check.

    -Open the Edge

-Click the 3 dots at the upper right side of Edge

    -Go to Settings

    -Click "About Microsoft Edge "

It will show you the version of Edge installed in your device.

I tried to hide my extension and it works fine in this version 92.0.902.55

Can you please try to right click on the Edge extension icon you want to hide and click Hide from toolbar..

    Please see the screenshot below.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
