V user

You should DISABLE any anti-virus or Firewall programs that my conflict then got into safe mode and download the update maunelly.

The Advanced Boot Options menu lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting modes. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts.

Thanks Joseph for the quick reply, but my problem isnt related to the link.

Let me detail the problem better, when i try to install the update, everything goes fine, it creates a restore point and then says installing 1 of 1. I wait a minute or two and then it says

    Some updates weren't installed

*Error(s) found:*Code 42B       Windows Update encountered an unknown error

    Hope this helps
