Uninstalling constant guard cured my issue also. If I had known about the security features already built in to Windows 8, I wouldn't have bothered with constant guard.
Windows 8 problem with Logitech keyboard/mouse and typing shifted special characters.
I have Iinstalled Windows 8 Pro on two different desktops. Bothe have problems with the mouse and keyboard. On one the Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working completely. Several replacement wireless mouse/keyboards also refuse to work. When the wireless keyboard/mouse were replaced with a wired mouse/keyboard, all works well. The second system also had been using a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse. On this sytem all works well except in all browsers (IE, Firefox & Chrome) the Shift key won't type the characters above the numbers making it impossible to write addresses, etc as the @ won't type. Am I the only one with keyboard and mouse problems like the above?

2013-06-04T18:04:58+00:00 I have replaced the keyboard and that didnt work either. Windows 8 has wasted hours and hours of potentially productive time with all its problems and quirks. I didnt buy it - it came pre-installed and I cant get rid of it either. Never again.

Probably best to start your own thread with your own details if you want help, Adrienne.

2015-02-13T19:45:46+00:00 I am having the exact same issue. It only does it sometimes and not all the time. I'd say approximately 50% of the time. I don't understand what's going on. It started with my Logitech keyboard. So I called logitech and they promptly sent me a brand new replacement. And sure enough the new replacement does the exact same thing. Typing 0-8 characters of each letter that I depress. somewhere from 0 to 8 that is. It is a real nightmare. It didn't used to do this when I first bought the keyboard. This is somehow a windows issue I think.
I am on a Toshiba Satellite P55 running windows 8.1 I love the wireless keyboards when they work. When they're working there's nothing more comfortable, but when they're not working it becomes such a nightmare that I just switch to my android. Strangely enough I'm not getting one error whatsoever typing into this particular website. Maybe mirosoft has the issue under control on their website and maybe it's some type of javascript issue and each key that we are pressing is being echoed across the internet. That is a great possibility too as well that somebody needs to address. There needs to be some cross platform collaboration between Java, HTML, Microsoft, and logitech. I don't get these problems with a hardwired keyboard. This is some type of wireless USB malfunction. I was thinking that it could be a USB issue as well.
I do a lot of typing and this issue is a real nightmare. In order to rule out Logitech, I bought a brand new Dynex wireless USB keyboard as well and it is doing the exact same thing. So I can rule out logitech as the culprit now. Now the balls in either Microsoft or Java's court.
This is a serious major issue because wireless to USB is the final frontier for the PC. With the MYO technologies if this major issue isn't solved it could prove to be very costly and really hurt the future of the PC's. I'm one of the last stronghold Die Hard PC users, but if this issue isn't solved this could make me just cross over to Android.
