Live Tv Streaming problems

Question

I am trying to use a metro app to stream live tv.  I tried filmon, omnivision tv, & pptv.  None of them can stream.  filmon and ominivision cannot get past loading.  PPTV can load and I can watch on demand shows however live streams do not work.  Any ideas as to why?

I am running windows 8 pro 64bit.  The mother board is a UEFI motherboard GA-H77N-WIFI.

Have you tried, since your last efforts with Avast, to uninstall the faulty Apps, and then to reinstall them and retest?

For testing purposes disable Windows Defender Real Time scanning.  See what that does.  Also have another look at the Clean Boot procedure concentrating on third party programs and services.

I am using the windows firewall.  I tried turning it off and still have the same problems

What Firewall are you using, is it the Windows Firewall, or is it a third party Firewall?  If it is the Windows Firewall does turning it off make your streaming work?

Yes, I just tried this and still the same problem.

If you create a new Windows user and test with that rather than your current user, do you have the same problem?
