Remote desktop connection doesn't display

Hi All,

My remote desktop connection to my work computer no longer works correctly on my PC . I get asked my user credentials, which I've tested if I enter in the wrong password doesn't work....

When I do enter it correctly, it tries to connect, and I get the this screen, and then NOTHING....

If i try to connect again, i get a "This computer can't connect to the remove computer." error as seen below.

I know my work computer is setup correctly as I can connect on my wife's windows 8 laptop.

So I have a feeling its something to do with my display driver, but I have ensured I've got the latest version of that.

I've followed Why can’t I connect using Remote Desktop Connection? and found my firewall didn't have remote desktop connection allowed, which I've enabled, rebooted and still not working.

Can anyone suggest anything that may help.

Thanks.

Lance.

    Hi Lance,

I have exactly the same issue as you.  I know it's logging in but it doesn't display anything!  It used to work fine.

Did you find a fix in the end please?

No i didn't. I left that job and haven't had any need to dial in, so haven't worried about it.

I believe it has to do something with my graphic settings though.
