I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

    Hi

    I had same issue.

After nice upgrade everything works fine.

I had to reboot for a new Nvidia GPU driver and then had no keyboard  and mouse  (wireless  Logitech). I tried to plug USB wired K and M but didn't work. I have no PS2 port on my Asus MB.

I found it works though in uefi bios when press start and shift+F8. So I rolled down once to W7 64 and everything  worked fine again.

Yesterday I heard of the first cumulative update for W10 so I had hope : I upgraded so I tried to shut off and start (not reboot or restart). It was ok and

    K and M worked fine.

Unfortunately  I had to reboot after a driver update and then had the issue again.

I went back to Seven twice and won't go to 10 before there's a solution with that issue.

    Hey

I had the similar issue and just suddenly my mouse or keyboard didn't do anything after the OS started. Here's what worked for me:

    1. i Googled with my cell and found this video from youtube (i know it says win 8.1). [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXKx9Ew1pww]
    2. I powered on my computer and pressed F8 to go to BIOS (Key can be different with different manufacturers, i have ASUS)
    3. Went to "advanced settings" ---> "USB configuration" and disabled USB3 support. --> save & exit
    4. Waited for windows to start, still no effect.
    5. Powered the computer off and on again and changed keyboard and mouse USB ports.
    6. Started windows and my keyboard worked (mouse was still dead)
    7. Opened Settings - Devices - Device manager with keyboard
    8. There was explanation mark on one of the usb controllers so i disabled and enabled it again
    9. Everything started to work.

Thank you for the info.  I did try these steps as part of my trouble shooting but was unable to get to the device manger screen because none of the keyboard commands I used would allow me to select it.  I tried search and it came up with just web sites.  After hours of trying every keyboard command I could think of, find, or invent, I could not get from system settings into the device manager.  :(  I just could not get any of the link on the left to highlight thus could not open their sub directories.

But thank you, when I update again I will try this step.  I found an old usb to ps2 adapter and will try that with my mouse this time out.  I should have thought of that but was so frustrated at the time that it escaped me.
