Hi, Ross! Thank you for your detailed answers to my questions. Because of you and Marty, now my daily life has become so much easier ...
Just one thing though - when I said "Start Calendar", WSR took me to another type of calendar that occupies the whole screen instead of opening the one right on the desktop.
Although I have 10 years experience with WSR, from the beginning I learned you just have to try different things. One of the things to know is that WSR works very well with keyboard commands as well as with labels of items on the screen.
Here is how I figured it out:
- Issued the command, "Show Desktop." This was from this Reply window.
- Said, "Show Desktop." It now shows in the speech bar, "Switching to desktop."
- Now when on the desktop, issue the command, "Press tab." Now says, "Switched to taskbar"
- At this point I glanced at that time, which was 11:56 AM and simply said 11:56 AM which opened the calendar you wish to work with.
- You can now move around the calendar by saying either, "Tab," to move forward or, "Shift tab," to move backwards. When you get to the place you want like the up or down month caret, say, "Press enter."
- To get to a different date in the calendar, say, "Show numbers."
It took me a few minutes to figure this out, but when should get familiar with trying to use keyboard and voice commands and show numbers, you should be able to navigate anywhere on the screen.
