Windows Speech Recognition Commands

Hello, I have more questions about speech recognition:

  1. I tried to do online search with Mozilla Firefox by pronouncing the word "ENTER" (after entering the search words/phrases), but it did not work - what is the correct command for that?
  2. I was not able to find a speech input icon with Google Translate (again using Mozilla Firefox) - how can I turn the function on?
  3. How can I play, pause and stop a video in Windows Media Player with Speech Recognition?
  4. Is there a way to open Desktop Calendar (I have to “left click” the time & the date on the bottom right corner of the desktop screen) using Speech Recognition?
  5. What would be the command to tell Speech Recognition to flip (back and forth) PDF pages?

Thank you!

    Hello, Marty:

Yes, I first said "show desktop", then "tab". If I repeatedly said "tab", Speech Recognition would take me to the desktop, then the taskbar, then a message would appear that says "show hidden icons" on the bottom right corner and right above the sound volume and battery icon (which doesn't do anything), then the button that has 2 options - "show desktop" & "peek at desktop"; in other words, it would run a "circle", if I kept on saying "tab".

       Thank you!

Hello, Russ! Thank you for giving me an example of using WSR Macros: it looks a bit complicated :), but I will try it out.

Are you perhaps saying, "Press tab," too many times? When the Speechbar shows:

You should be able to say, "Ten fifty-two AM," and the calendar you want should appear?

There is a WSR Toolkit that among other things uses the WSRMacros applet to make creating macros an easy step by step process.

Hello, Marty: It didn't "get" the command for some reason. Maybe because I am not using a headset. It's okay, it's just one click away, if I want to know the time and the date. Thank you so much!
