Stop code: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE

I need some help on how to fix "stop code: inaccessible boot device" message that comes on my computer immediately it's powered on.

Hi Susan,

      Apparently Microsoft came out with a fix. It would be nice if they let us know somehow they were have problems as I have been going crazy with these problems for 3 weeks on a daily basis on several pc's.  The fix came out on March 05, 2018 and can be downloaded from the Microsoft Catalog..    Download and run kb4090913.  Hope this helps, Ray

Hi,

     I followed directions found here in community and they worked on most of the pc's I had the problem on except two.

Start computer and do a hard shutdown. (Start computer and when you see the Blue Spinning Animated Icon, Hold the power button and shut down. Repeat this three times. On the third try you will get to a window with more options.  Go to Advanced and you'll see System Restore. Go back to a restore point before you had the problem. I actually went back about a month. I then went in to service and stopped & shut down windows updates temporarily in hopes Microsoft will come up with a fix. Other people in this thread recommend uninstalling and hiding certain updates.  Hope this helps.
