Kernel-EventTracing error

With the update to 1709 (Fall Creators) these errors pop up within minutes after each boot...

Session "Cloud Files Diagnostic Event Listener" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022

Session "" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022  (two instances)

SFC shows no integrity violations.   CHKDSK is clean.

What is causing these errors, which are likely benign, and what's the remedy?

    Several restarts later and the above issue does now seem to be fixed :)

    This is what fixed it for me...

    On 11th November 2017, Hannu-K stated the following....

    *"*I got rid of it only changing one OneDrive setting. I ensured in Settings tab that the Files On-Demand checkbox is not checked. This was enought for me and id 2 errors disappeared from the event viewer".

    @ Microsoft

    Please fix this ASAP so I can continue to use Files on Demand

    This error, and perhaps the "sessions error" at boot as well, seems to be solved by following the procedure here.

    Once the app has been reinstalled type "OneDrive" into the search bar <enter>, log in with your MS account and follow the prompts.

    on my side I can confirm that what I did (see previous replies in this exchange) has solved the problem, at least on all the three PCs which we have at home. It is more than two months that I did the change and the error has not popped again.

    To recap (solution applies to PCs, not to windows phones !):

    • Uninstall the OneDrive App
    • Search in your PC with windows explorer in the C: drive (or in the drive where Windows is installed) for the file OneDriveSetup
    • Take the most recent version of this file in case you find more than one and click on it, it will reinstall the one drive
    • restart the PC

    done (at least in my three cases).

    @Lawrence Lib,

    Sorry to disappoint but this error is not fixed, why do you think that?

    I simply followed the workaround mentioned previously by Hannu-K On 11th November 2017,

    This issue is not fixed by any means. Until Microsoft address this issue we can't use 'Files on Demand' as this would likely cause the error to return.

    Hopefully Microsoft will add this to their long list of things that don't work properly in Windows 10?

    I forgot to say that after reinstalling OneDrive in windows 10 I restarted the PC, the right Icon appeared after the new start
