Add another with the same issue. **** windows 10?
After a while, mouse click fails and only Ctrl Alt Del brings back the functionality
At various times, my system (Win 10) stops recognizing mouse clicks in all the active windows including EDGE or any open window and also the taskbar items This happens after using laptop for some times. Im using the Dell laptop with all the up to date drivers. This problem started a few days ago suddenly with no new software installed or made any change to the PC. when the problem occurs, the edge browser stops responding to mouse click, it scrolls up/down automatically. After some times, all the active windows including browsing windows or any open window becomes totally unresponsive to mouse click. Only CTRL-ALT-DEL and hitting the taskmanager button can improve the condition and mouse becomes full functional again for a while, but the same problem returns. I uninstalled the mouse driver and again rebooted it to install again, sfc/scannow, virus check or even did a resetting the PC, added another account.... but the problem persists, even in safe mode. Every driver and software of my pc is updated. I even did a system restore but no change. What should i do next? Anybody to help me out please?

2020-07-15T01:00:04+00:00 Interesting that for years I used the letters W and T and F to mean what's this for now they consider those three letters together some kind of cursing and only put in asterisks.
(‿*‿) A holes How about you just make software that works with out EFFING UP all the EFFING TIME!

2020-07-15T01:13:21+00:00 I'm thinking my issue may be related to my g502 mousewheel button 3. I've read on reddit and other forums people having issues with the button 3 pressing when the mouse wheel is scrolled, due to a worn out spring/clip in the button. Not sure why I would continue to have trouble when I switched to another mouse though. I'm going to try some more troubleshooting and I'll report back.

2020-07-18T01:13:59+00:00 After switching to another mouse for a second time it seems to have resolved the issue. I believe this was caused by the third mouse button (a depressed mouse wheel) on the Logitech Proteus G502 (a common issue if you Google it). I believe the reason why this wasn't resolved when I switched mice is because my desktop may not have been restarted and I just hot-swapped the mice. My theory is that when I did that, Windows may still have been in an unstable state, giving me the impression that it was not isolated to the mouse. After trying again for a couple days with the new mouse (different brand and driver) the issue went away entirely. So today I went out and bought the G502 Hero which is the successor and we'll see how we do with that (so far no issue). At least next time I'll know what the cause of this is. Very frustrating, but for me this was not a Microsoft issue it was a Logitech hardware issue. I would suggest you start up from a Linux bootable thumb drive and see if you have trouble in that environment so you can isolate whether or not it's only occurring in Windows. Once I did this it became clear that the issue was not isolated to Windows and that narrowed it down to a hardware issue. Being a help desk guy in a previous life, I feel humbled that I didn't catch this sooner in my troubleshooting. Best of luck to you all!
