After a while, mouse click fails and only Ctrl Alt Del brings back the functionality

At various times, my system (Win 10) stops recognizing mouse clicks in all the active windows including EDGE or any open window and also the taskbar items  This happens after using laptop for some times. Im using the Dell laptop with all the up to date drivers. This problem started a few days ago suddenly with no new software installed or made any change to the PC. when the problem occurs, the edge browser stops responding to mouse click, it scrolls up/down automatically. After some times, all the active windows including browsing windows or any open window becomes totally unresponsive to mouse click. Only CTRL-ALT-DEL and hitting the taskmanager button can improve the condition and mouse becomes full functional again for a while, but the same problem returns. I uninstalled the mouse driver and again rebooted it to install again, sfc/scannow, virus check or even did a resetting the PC, added another account.... but the problem persists, even in safe mode. Every driver and software of my pc is updated. I even did a system restore but no change. What should i do next? Anybody to help me out please?

This was caused by a stuck page up button on a Logitech M570 wireless mouse.

I had same issue on a Windows 10 on a Lenovo W530 laptop using Logitech M570 mouse.  I had tried many other suggestions on various sites and finally ended up on this solution to try.  A switching mouse seems to have helped.

It was strange as along with Logitech Mouse, mousepad on the laptop also stops working.  So never suspected a mouse causing the issue.

I had tried to update firmware on Logitech Mouse, but had not helped.  Not sure what exactly is the issue with mouse, but swapping to another mouse seems to have resolved the issue.  Will monitor for next few days.

    SOLUTION!!

This issue arises when you've used an external mouse with extra side/middle buttons (usually Logitech).

    What goes wrong?

Microsoft Windows OS installed the native driver for that device and therefore, side/middle button intermittently passes signal for being pressed. Thus causing issue of mouse cursor clicks freezing and to unfreeze user needs to input ALT +  CTRL + DEL or CTRL + ESC on keyboard post that the system operations resume correctly.

Observation : Input Device Default Driver Issue (HID Complaint Mouse Generic Drivers)

1.) Stop using that device and uninstall device drivers from device manager under Mice and other pointing device

    Or

2.) Go to Manufacturer's website, download and install device drivers for the peripheral and restart the machine.

In My Case - M500S ADVANCED CORDED MOUSE was causing trouble.

I installed device driver from manufacturer's official website and issue git resolved
