In-built camera "dropping out" of device manager
My in-built camera on my HP All-in-one pc has suddenly started "dropping out"
If I look in device manager the camera isn't listed, but a usb device is highlighted as an issue, if I disable then enable that usb device the camera returns to the Device manager listing and works perfectly. Then, after a shutdown or putting the pc to sleep the camera is not listed/working.
I haven't made any particular changes that I'm aware would provoke this issue.
See screenshots below - as I say, once the erroring usb device is dis/enables the camera is listed and works fine
Any help much appreciated!

2020-06-28T18:09:46+00:00 Did you create a Restore Point and then uninstall the Camera in Device Manager as I suggested above?
I would re-install the camera drivers directly from HP.
I think this is the page for your system's drivers. Update the BIOS, chipset drivers, and all other drivers.

Contact HP Support as there may be a hardware problem and/or known issues.
Here to help,

2020-06-30T07:16:50+00:00 Thanks for sticking with this Rob,
I did mention "I've done everything apart from the repair upgrade - my experience of re-installing etc has not been good and for this annoying but relatively minor issue I'm not going to do it.
I've gone through HP support, viewed and attempted (if appropriate) any fix on there, although none of the errors listed are exactly the same as mine. I've not emailed or phoned them yet, as I've posted on their HP Community and will give them time to respond."
Another response had a link to upgrade my AMD drivers, which I did. After this I had no sound on my pc; I restored to a restore point (the restore point I'd manually created was not listed among the restore points?)
As I mentioned before, I am not inclined to do repair restores to fix a relatively minor irritation, other things go wrong and they're not apparent straight away :o(
I'll create another restore point and update BIOS etc and report back.
Thanks again!

2020-06-30T09:32:06+00:00 The bios - hp update & install manager reports i have the latest version
I attempted an update of the RealTek audio drivers - after it had uninstalled & restarted my pc thre times it then reported - no driver reported in this driver package
I feel it's time I stop now. The camera issue is a nuisance and I don't like the idea of running a pc with something reporting an error, I can get around the error by disabling/enabling the usb error from within Device manager. there come a a point when you have to say enough's enough.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and help, I really appreciate it.

2020-06-30T14:05:43+00:00 If you would do the Repair Install which is normally not as involved as a Clean Install it might be the solution. Of course, having good backups of your data can be important due to "Murphy's Law".
Wish there were easier solutions.
