I am doing some research for current issue, thanks for your waiting.
RDWeb Unable to open App
New RDS deployment
Servers for :
RDS Host
RDS Gateway
RDS Broker
RDS Web
RDS Licensing
Good news - I can RDP via the gateway to the RDP desktop fine from both inside and outside the network. All SSLs are in place and working well
When I https into the RDWeb both internally and externally, I can see the 3 published apps
When I try to open the app, I get :
Access Local Resources - I click Allow
Connecting and Launching "Word"
Oops, we couldn't connect to "Word"
We couldn't connect to the remote PC
Not sure what's not configured here

2021-04-29T11:55:02.917+00:00 I've decided to wipe out the install and start over again. I suspect that there was probably an IIS application setting that was wrong and at this stage it's just faster to rebuild the environment as it's not yet in production.
Will reach out once completed later today

2021-04-29T12:23:22.447+00:00 Hi Steve,
I’d love to help this. Somehow, what’s error message you saw when failed to launch remoteapp? Or, could you take a screenshot while the error happened?
For now, let us try following steps what we could do to narrow down what might cause the problem.
- Check if we can launch the application directly from RD Session Host. If not, then the issue should lie in the application itself.
- Bypass RD Gateway. If remoteapp can be launched successfully from internal network, the issue should lie in RD Gateway.
- Check if we can RDP to the session host server directly. If we RDP fails as well, we can treat the issue as a “failed to RDP” issue.
Additionally, please check the event logs via Event Viewer and see if there are error occurred.

2021-04-29T12:31:00.627+00:00 This error was happening both internally and externally
But internal and external remote desktop connection to the session host was fine - just the web part was not working
I could see all the published apps but running any of them failedIt looked like it wanted to connect to the broker first

2021-04-29T18:59:19.137+00:00 OK - I did a clean re-install
Looks much better now
I have only 1 issue - when I connect to the RDWeb apps, I can see all the published apps but they all come up minimized - I have now way of getting them off the taskbar
