I've seen similar posts about this but was not enough for me to resolve my issue.

The error code (0x80070057) during the format operation can be caused by a bad disk.

Anyway, let's try converting to GPT via WinRE.

    Create a USB setup disk.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d

Boot from the USB setup disk and access WinRE.

In WinRE Command Prompt, run MBR2GPT. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/convert-an-existing-windows-10-installation-from/aa8c2de3-460b-4a8c-b30b-641405f800d7

    From admin Command Prompt, run:

    bcdboot C:\Windows /s C:

If that command runs correctly, right-click volume C: and mark it as the active partition.

Restart Windows and delete the V:\ drive and merge the free space with C.

Ok, so I tried your method. I was unable to change active partition to C. I was also not able to delete partition V.

Step #3 can't be done unless Step #2 has been completed and the system rebooted.

However, after seeing your screenshots, I think the system has booted in UEFI mode already.

    1. Launch msinfo32.exe, and click System Summary. Resize the columns in the right pane to make the entries visible, and post a screenshot of that screen.
    2. From admin Command Prompt, run:

    diskpart

    list disk

    select disk 0

    detail disk

    list part

    exit

    Post the output.
