When i try to activate driver verifier, there are no drivers shown:
my computer keeps crashing with different error codes
Hi All,
Since a couple of days my computer keeps crashing since the latest windows 11 update.
Error messages are always different and I get a blue screen of death (BSOD):
- dpc watchdog violation
- ntoskrnl.exe
- ...
I still have an windows.old folder from 31/07.
I already run the next commands:
- sfc /scannow
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
There has not been a change in my hardware only the windows update.
The memory.dmp file is over 2GB:
Any feedback or do I need a clean install?
best regards,
Tom

2023-08-08T11:59:27+00:00 I found how to add the drivers. I just needed them to select them from the folder.
pci.sys returns an error. I can't downgrade the driver and error log is here:

2023-08-08T12:36:37+00:00 Check all cabling is firmly connected to their sockets etc,
Check hardware components especially ram sticks. as firmly in their slots.
Check the screws on your motherboard are tight ( loose screws and cause abnormal function over time as the motherboard will varibrated underload causing it to move or not have earth point causing power issues)
Check all drivers update and that your have the correct dated device driver installed especially for graphic, chipset and input and output device drivers (usually your I/O controller chipset)
Also check microsoft is not rolling back your device drivers to out dated driver that can cause the issue too.
Check power supply unit is not faulting
reinstall clean version of Windows if necessary
otherwise consider hard drive or motherboard issue worst cases.

2023-08-10T07:19:46+00:00 @DaveM121 thanks for the effort. Your replies were helpful, but after installing the driver verifier, my laptop started crashing during startup and I could boot anymore or get to the minidump files. So I downgraded and will continue at windows 10.
My laptop is custom build. I checked the vender and used the Intel driver assistant. No upgrade helped me.
I'll wait as long as possible before upgrading to windows 11 again.
