AMD and Task Manager

I have 2 PC's - 1 running AMD,1 running Intel.Both predominately run the same Distributed Computing.

My Intel m/c shows on Task Manager 100% cpu usage.

My AMD m/c (AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor 3.85 GHz) shows Task Manager 28-40% cpu usage.

However if I load the Open Hardware Monitor prog it shows all processors running at 100% so does anyone have an explanation as to why the discrepancy between the 2?

    Hello again,

    When I 1st reported this problem TM fluctuated between 28>40% all the time.Yesterday I ran M/S update '2023-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5026372)' and TM now shows 49% solid -i.e. no fluctuation at all. I left it running for 1hr.

    I've updated the bios as requested but TM still shows 49% solid.Attached is the new Sys Summary.

    Just in case it helps here is the Intel PC's summary.This m/c works great.

    Have you asked the device/motherboard support if there are any known issues with your model of the motherboard?

    The response from MSI Global Mod :-

    "use Ryzen Master as Task Manager has a habit of getting it wrong with AMD systems"

    I think I'll just leave that in the 'puzzled' drawer and move on.

    I have normally just used Intel and this was my first AMD system.Probably my last.
