I just followed your tip [disable the "show all folders" option] and bang. My quick access completely disappeared !!
No way, so far, to recover the Quick Access section in the panel, do you know how to recover it ?
Thanks

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

Why do Microsoft have to make life so difficult for users by constantly changing things that users have been used to for many years? If Quick Access is no longer available why is "Add to Quick Access" still on the menus? Why didn't you migrate Quick Access items to Home? How do I add items to Home? I put off upgrading to Windows 11 for a very long time, wish I hadn't bothered now. Regards Tony Hill
I have to say that trying to force integration with OneDrive has made my PC so slow as to be near-useless.

Where in my list of folders gone in the Navigation pane?
Microsoft is improving things until Win 11 is completely useless.
I am trying to do some work and using Word slowed to a crawl. It was One Drive trying to copy everything I had.
I disabled that (I am quite capable of handling my own backups) and things are fast again.
My other Win 10 computer started demanding passwords after I turned it on after shutting down. I had to disable the passwords when returning from sleep. Apparently shutting down does not turn off the computer, it goes to sleep.
I am forcing myself to use Win 10 and 11 but if I need to do something in a hurry I return to my Win 7 computers.
I could write ten pages of the "improvements" that I continually fight to get some work done.
Maybe its time to move to Linux.
No it does not help. I don't have a day to study all of that.
Where have the folders gone that used to show in the left navigation pane?
How do I put them back?
