I just uninstalled Anydesk application from my computer and wonder why this system tray icon is still listed.

I tried removing them from the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify. but it is still in the list. How to remove this?

Hello, sorry to Necro this thread, but here's what worked for me. Win 11 22h2

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\NotifyIconSettings in registry.

there will be a bunch of directories/Keys below it.

Manually go through each one (you can press the down button on your keyboard) carefully paying attention to the ExecutablePath (will show you where and give you a great idea what it is) and InitialTooltip (another good idea what it is), and if you are certain you know what it is or does then you can do what you wish

If you're unsure of what it is or what it does your choice is at your own risk.

This completely cured my problem. I had a couple of uninstalled applications that were still visible in the Other System Tray Icons section. I was successful in removing the registry entries. But, yes, you must be cautious about what you delete.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, we need to hide the icon of the other Anydesk app.

Press the Windows key + R then paste the command:

    shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}

    Then hit OK

It will show you notification Area icons.

Look for another AnyDesk app > Click the drop-down and click "Hide icon and Notification"

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

In Personalization - System Tray settings: I have ONEDRIVE.EXE 3 times, XBOX which I have never used, GOOGLE DRIVE uninstalled, MS DEFENDER 2X. MSOFFICE. If I select on, they do not appear in the System Tray either as visible or hidden. Why? How do I remove them from the System Tray? I just tried the process above but items are still in Personalization - System Tray settings.

In System Tray I have AUDIO (hidden), WINDOWS SECURITY, MS DEFENDER, ONEDRIVE, MSREDIRECT, BT selected but not in tray.

    Regedit and delete 2 values

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify

Right click and delete IconStreams and PastIconsStream, close regedit

Go into Task Manager and restart WindowExplorer.exe
