Been trying to solve such a problem for about 3 years now. AHCI works, but it seems to impact disk performance under high loads.
If anyone finds a true solution, that would be great.
Stop Code: Kernel_Security_Check_Failure
Hello,
I have a Dell XPS 8930 running windows 11 upgrade from Windows 10. I am trying to clone the 2tb NVME drive to a 4tb NVME drive. I have tried several makes of cloning software and they all say the clone was successful, but the clone will not boot. I keep getting the Stop Code: Kernel_Security_Check_Failure. Then a quick screen shows "ROM Image is not loaded and ROM Image update denied. Then it goes through the Automatic repair process but says there are no hardware issues. All drivers and software are up to date. Virus scans are clean.
If I look at the drives in Disk Management, the OS cloned partition does not show Boot, Page File and Crash Dump as shown on the screen grab.
As stated above, I have tried different cloning software and they all give the same result. BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure.
I have tried to repair with a recovery usb. Nothing works and I have not found any solutions through Google :-(
Thank you in advance for your help.

2022-12-29T01:18:25+00:00 That thought crossed my mind. I was also thinking that maybe this Gen 4 drive is not so backwards compatible with Gen 3 as Western Digital says...
