    Hi,

About Dell Precision 7760 and 7560. Yes Dell is still working with the case and we have to just wait.

BIOS downgrade is a bigger risk than suffering from this current problem. This is my personal opinion. You can't go below BIOS version 1.8.0.

    https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=r75ht&oscode=wt64a&productcode=precision-15-7560-laptop

    - Once the BIOS is upgraded, you cannot downgrade the BIOS to version 1.8.0 or earlier. BIOS downgrades are restricted when there are security updates and important fixes with earlier versions that impact the functionality of the system.

So Dieter you downgraded BIOS to 1.14.0 and the updated it back again to version 1.19.0 if I understand the reply above.

Don't you have any control what your PC is doing? All update settings are in full automatic mode?

Do you have Dell Command Update or Dell SupportAssist running?

I hope you are not running Realtek 6.0.9418.1, A20. If yes check you folder C:\Program Files\Waves. There should be only one subfolder called IntelOpenVINO.

Yes, I downgraded explicitly via Dell BIOS-Upgrade tool to 1.14.0.
For unknown reason, after booting under 1.14 and then rebooting, it automatically updated the BIOS again, but instead of 1.19. it used 1.18.0.

I haven't done any explicit execution of any Bios-Tool.
Maybe it was somehow triggered in background. I have no clue.

Regarding IntelOpenVINO: I have no clue, what this is. I've check the folder and I have:
    IntelOpenVINO

    IntelOpenVINO_

    IntelOpenVINO__

    IntelOpenVINO___

    IntelOpenVINO____

    IntelOpenVINO1_

    IntelOpenVINO1__

    IntelOpenVINO1___

    IntelOpenVINO1____

What does it mean and how is it related to this topic?

BTW: I faced my first bluescreen since Win11-New-Install and after BIOS-Down- and -Upgrade with several driver installations etc. So I decided to completely fallback to my latest backup before these activities. I hope, it was a good decision.

Just an advice from my experiences after many installations: Never do any parallel installation before starting the next one.
It may work, but I fear in some situations, it might have any interference and this leads to any problems at any later point in time, where nobody can see the relation.
So, always wait with one installation until it's finished.

    Hi,

Windows installer's rule 1. Do always one installation at the time.

About Realtek 6.0.9418.1 and Dell devices. Yes nothing to do with Nvidia case. Should open a new topic. It's a know problem with all Dell models using Realtek 6.0.9418.1. Dell will release a new version of Realtek some day.

Dell has added Waves package to Realtek driver. Waves seems to use IntelOpenVINO https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/openvino-toolkit/overview.html

But now your Dell PC is on constant reboot state. Check value of Windows registry key PendingFileRenameOperations

    It's here Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

In the meantime I have stopped and disabled WavesSysSvc service. I do not have any analog sound device connected to my laptop.

There should be only one IntelOpenVINO subfolder with the toolkit files.

Previous Realtek driver 6.0.9363.2 does not have IntelOpenVINO problem.

    Hi,

About NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework case in Dell Precision family 7760 and 7560.

Check your BIOS performance settings. Intel Turbo Boost Maximum Technology 3.0 must be OFF.

I believe some previous BIOS version like 1.15.2 activated this setting.

I have disabled the value and now NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework status is OK in Device Manager.

I did remove the extra failed NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework from device manager after PC restart.

Dynamic Boost 2.0 is now back to value Yes if you open System Information link from in Nvidia Control Panel.

Dell Precision 7770 and 7670 BIOS settings the Intel Turbo Boost Maximum Technology 3.0 seems to be always OFF in all version by default.

You may have the same Intel Turbo Boost Maximum Technology 3.0 setting also in Lenovo BIOS settings.
