Poor performance on specific user profile

Recently I've been having massive FPS drops in games, but only on my main user profile. I created a new profile and all games work perfectly without issues. What might be causing this, and how can I fix it? I don't want to have to copy all my files to the new account.

Sorry, fc cannot be helpful in this case - "files are too different".

You may try to compare by parts of registries.

And yes, these files are really huge. That's why I've said this may be very time consuming. So I suppose it will be better to move all data to a new account.

    Hi Kyle,

My name is Igor, I have 12 Microsoft MVP awards. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you. I'm sorry you have a problems.

Unfortunately there may be a lot of different corruptions in user's registry. And analysis may be very time consuming, so I suppose it will be better to move all data to a new account.

However you may use regedit tool to export bot account's registry to a text file and then compare these files to see a difference. Then try to correct some values.

That's the problem, there isn't anything doing that. No other apps, no processes higher than "Very Low" power usage

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

It sounds like there might be some app or service running in the background which is using up resources whilst your are in the game. If you open the task manager app you will be able to locate and then uninstall what ever app is causing this issue. Also check the start-up tab of the task manager and disable anything you don't need.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
