Microphone Array driver is not updated in Windows 11, making the mic silent

My laptop is Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 7, which has a built-in microphone. The microphone is Microphone Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST)) with driver version 10.0.22000.1 (2021-06-05). It works well in Windows 10.

After upgrading to Windows 11, the microphone takes almost no sound input: not working to me.

In the Sound test section of the microphone show the input volume is only 4%:

This issue has been reported in Lenovo community, but the experts said that it's Microsoft driver, not Lenovo's:

    hello everyone

you can use a good software for deleting the intel sst driver

    here is easy guide

    https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/ddu-guide-tutorial

but i place of choosing graphics choose sound in ddu

    then clean and restart

I find a solution and don't know if it is correct for you.

    1. REMOVE THE DRIVER

Open device manager, select SYSTEM DEVICE, double click INTERL SMART SOUND TECHNOLOGY AUDIO CONTROLLER, select DRIVER, select REMOVE DEVICE, select TRY TO REMOVE THE DRIVER FOR THIS DEVICE. Restart system.

    1. Install 2018 audio driver, date: 2018/11/16, version: 9.22.0.3948.

this driver can be obtained in WIN 10 system.

There was a new point that I found:

on one of my T14s with Win11, voice picking up for both system testing and TEAMS are all very weak. Even the Automatically adjust mic sensitivity activated.

on my another T14s with Win11, the voice picking up is with issues but the latest TEAMS, Automatically adjust mic sensitivity is enabled then the issue with TEAMS could be fixed. but when testing with regular voice, the system mic can only pick up 3% of max volume.

I assume it is still the driver issue.

I have the same issue with my ASUS ZenBook Flip S13 having a Microphone Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST)). The Intel Driver and Support Assistance app doesn't identify a problem with the driver.

    Someone, please help!
