Error code on RDS

I keep getting this error for multiple users in Teams; right after signing in to their O365 accounts in Teams on the RDS.

It says something like this (I've translated it myself from swedish so probably not 100% accurate):

Something went wrong

"Your account was not configured on this device, because it was not possible to activate device handling. This device may possibly not have access to some rescources such as Wi-Fi, VPN or E-mail"

Error code: 8018001C

It works just fine for a while if I click on Done but our users needs to sign in again multiple times after signing out from the server and sometimes also during the session. The checkbox for "Keep me signed in" is filled.

The error message makes no sense at all to me.

Nothing is logged in Event Viewer.

The server is running Windows Server 2019

Any ideas? I was thinking about reinstalling Teams but I doubt it will help..

Any update to this? We are experiencing the same issue after upgrading from Server 2012r2 to Server 2019 in our RDS environment. Teams and Office both receive errors. Usually closing and opening again gets rid of the error(s), closing Outlook and right clicking the Teams icon and choosing Quit, then reopening them, but I have many users seeing this every morning when they sign in and it is wearing on the IT staff.

    Hi!

Not really... we have discovered a quite bad workaround but that’s all for now.

If we close Teams and sign out of Word or any other O365 application and then sign back in and unmark the stay signed in-box before signing in to Teams it works... or at least for a while.

Our next move is to reinstall Office completely, and make sure to get rid of every last shread of it before reinstalling it.

    Regards

    Felix

    Hi Fredrik.

No. I had a case going for months with Microsoft with several diagnostic tools involved but none of them gave any indication of what was wrong.

It did however help a little to remove \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams. The problem came back for some users but not for all of them.

I promise to share the solution when or if I find it.

    Regards

    Felix

    Hi Felix,

Did you figure out a solution for this problem?

We also got this in our RDS environment.

    Regards

    Fredrik
