Excel is showing this message when I want to use python formula

"The account who has access to this workbook does not have the required license to calculate or edit Python formulas"

This is on the last version of the current channel Version 2407 (Build 17830.20128) and a work account with a Microsoft 365 E5 license.

I also have the same issue on the beta channel

I'd suggest you create a support ticket to Microsoft.

Please contact your admin/IT department create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. Support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.  Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft LearnAbout how to find the admin in your organization, you can refer to How do I find my Office 365 admin

I have the exact same issue, I have one account with an education license and one with an Office 365 Family License.

Both of these should support Python, but I get the error when I try with either account.

Have you tried uninstalling office and reinstalling office?

I guess there is some cache credential stored on your computer which makes that error.

    OK issue fixed.

Basically python on excel only works on "Subscription User Based Licensing" and on Intune was set to install Office with "Shared Computer Activation"

Just Change "Use shared computer activation" to No.

You could have to resintall office, but after that all works. If you see this on accounts you can use python
