Hotmail security code log in

i am unable to log into my hotmail account as it wants a security code. i have had a number of these codes sent to me which i have entered as instructed but each time i am informed that the code is invalid. Also the alternate email address is wrong and there seems no way to change it.....can anyone help?

    I am having to request a new code every single time I wish to log into my hotmail despite checking the box to say I log in frequently.  To say this is annoying is an under statement.  Why having had a verification code sent to my cell phone am I continually having to request new codes?

    How long is this farce going to continue?

    I retyped my story over again.

    THEN it told me I had typed in the wrong security code three times - and of course after the first one I double checked I definitely typed the last two correctly.

    I am SO sick of this - the situation is clearly a typo error (there is a letter missing on the email address you want to send the security code to)  IO have emailed twice, called (only to be told there is no telephone support - even though it was Microsoft support who told me to ring).

    I have absolutely NO idea what I am supposed to do, and after today will not be able to access my account!
