We have a few W2019 servers (ver 1809) that are often disconnecting the RDP session and I noticed from event log:

RemoteDesktopServices-RdpCoreTS 227 RemoteFX module

'Failed CreateVirtualChannel call on this Connections Stack' in CUMRDPConnection::CreateVirtualChannel at 2498 err=[0xd0000001]

Many suggestions using search mentions that RemoteFX should be disabled, but it should not be in that server anymore?

Just in case anyone reads this, setting the GPO does not resolve the issue. The issue is still present on Windows 10 21H2 and Windows Server 2022.

    Just a quick note here.

I had the same problem on a Windows 2019 Terminal Server with Thin clients.

the Odd point here was some Clients had absolutely no problems some had.

After a lot of deep dive with a lot of grey hair added I found the problem as it was no software issue but a Network hiccup.

One Switch had a problem with package drops found it that I had two identical clients one working and one not

and the first switch places brought the nonworking back then with a simple ping -t is found the packet dropped just once every there and then.

after rebooting all the switches my problem was solved completely.

was unexpected but that is my solution.

so maybe check your network also for trouble.

    So Long Shodanki
