New Outlook memory usage

Old Outlook has a reputation for bloat. I used Task Manager to see how much memory Old vs New use. I was amazed to see that New Outlook uses over 1GB on my system. The "bloated" Old Outlook uses around 200MB. I thought that New Outlook was based mostly in the cloud. And with 1GB of memory, they still have a product that doesn't work as well, nor have as many features, as the Old one. Software design has changed a lot since I was doing it back in the 70s - 90s. Maybe we really should let AI do it.

Today I started getting this "high memory usage" error every 15 min on the new Outlook. I have only 2 email accounts and a very low number of emails on each account. This is crazy!

    Just started happening today, 10/10/2024.

Switched back to the old version for now as I don't have time to figure out how to roll back the Outlook version at this time knee deep in work needing to be done, but wanted to report this issue is a MAJOR issue for little to no reason.
