I still have my support ticket with Microsoft. I sent them a screen share of the error occurring plus some browser HCRs. From that they were able to reproduce the issue on their end. I am still waiting to hear back from them.

I just got feedback from the support ticket. Last week, they escalated the issue to the Exchange Engineers. In my tenant they added start date and end date to the Exchange Admin Center. So now if you search for a mailbox and click into it and select Other you can set the Auto-reply which now included start and end date. Before it didn't include the start and end date. It now looks like this. With this you will no longer need to set it via clicking the "open another mailbox" method.

I have the same problem trying to configure Auto Reply for a shared mailbox. My O365 email tenant only has a single email user account (mine!) and just one shared mailbox that can send and receive emails just fine. I've used Outlook/Exchange for years and never had an issue configuring a simple auto reply. Any workarounds?
