Daily software update group hasn't been created since 28/05/21 - how can we troubleshoot?

Hello all,

I'm relatively new to SCCM. Earlier in the year, set-up SCCM from scratch and had a SUG to create daily Endpoint updates that were being pushed out to a collection. Everything was working fine until 28/05/21 but it hasn't run since. I have a feeling it could be linked to a password change but don't recall specifying credentials for this process?

Here is a screenshot which may show the problem, you will see nothing has been created after 28/05/21.

Any help diagnosing why this has stopped would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. Clients can only use a single WSUS instance. Additionally, that doesn't explain why no updates are showing under All Software Updates in ConfigMgr.

We are a 2 man team in a massive school and sccm has been a steep learning curve for us to say the least.

Yes, it can be and usually is for those without experience. There are lots of great references on the web that can help with learning including, of course, the official docs. If you haven't been reading them, you 100% should start ASAP.

I also strongly suggest bringing in an additional resource that has experience -- a contractor, a consultant, etc. Without this, you will continue to hit challenges as Windows management itself is wide and deep and thus ConfigMgr itself also must be wide and deep.

    Hi Amanda,

    Thanks so much for replying.

The ADR appears to be working ok but I just cant believe there haven't been any Endpoint updates in almost 2 months. It was updating every day prior to the 28/05/21.

    Hi,

Sorry, I didn't see what Amanda said about the ruleenginbe log first time round. I have attached a section from the bottom of the log, hope this helps?

Also, the preview shows there are no items. I have attached a screenhsot and also shown our selection:

Also, the preview shows there are no items.

Then there are no items to add to the ADR and thus no reason to update the ADR.

Have you manually validated that any updates exist in the catalog that meet the specified criteria?
