The Word Team just got the feature re-enabled for Current Channel.

To check the feature is enabled click File, Options, Mail, Show text predictions while typing.

This issue is a bug and its being investigated, Text predictions unexpectedly become unavailable and are missing in Outlook options - Microsoft Support.

If you urgently need to work around it you could switch Office channels. There are three options to do that in the workaround section in the known issue article. I tested one option this morning and it worked well, Let users choose which Microsoft 365 Insider channel to install on Windows devices - Microsoft 365 Insider | Microsoft Learn.

    AUTOMATED STEPS:

    1. Close classic Outlook
    2. Go to this MVP article, Let users decide their Microsoft 365 Apps (Office 365) Release Channel - Robert 365
    3. In that article under Method 2 download the registry key officechannelexposure.zip, then right click the zip file and extract it.
    4. Double click on the exported registry file officechannelexposure.reg to install it.
    5. Start Outlook
    6. Click File, Office Account, click Update Channel and pick Monthly Enterprise Channel

Registry Key download reference in the article linked above:

    MANUAL STEPS:

    1. Close classic Outlook
    2. In Windows search box type Command Prompt, right click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.

    1. Copy the registry keys from the article reference above and paste them into the Command Prompt window and then press Enter.

    1. Start Outlook and then click File, Office Account, and click Update Channel. Choose Monthly Enterprise Channel or Current Channel Preview then click OK.

    1. After you click OK in step 3 Office should start updating to the channel you chose. If that does not happen right away click File, Office Account, Update Options, Update Now.
