PowerPoint now supports selecting multiple object on a slide!

You have to press and hold an object with one finger and then tap other objects with another finger.

    Problem solved!!!!

    Cheers

Selecting multiple objects is currently not supported in PowerPoint for iPad.

If a set of items is already grouped (using a different client like PowerPoint for Windows/Mac), you can move those objects as a group on the iPad.

Thanks for the feedback, and let us know if there is anything else you would like to see improved!

Couldn't agree more with every comment here. I'm sure there's a whole generation of people who have built their design habits around PowerPoint. To have such an inferior product on iPad seems such a waste.

judging by the time that this thread has been going I'm sad to see microsofts slow response - and only leaves the door open for prezi and the other contenders...

    All understood. Thanks.

But have you gone to powerpoint.uservoice.com and entered this as a feature request there or better, searched for and up-voted other requests for the same feature?

I sincerely hope Microsoft is that interested in comments from customers that they take their needs & requests seriously and periodically scan the web for requirements & suggestions. Who is the customer here? Why do I have to bend over backwards to make something as clear as requiring a car to have a reverse gear or a house to have windows? I am happy with Keynote on my iPad for the time being.
