PowerPoint now supports selecting multiple object on a slide!
You have to press and hold an object with one finger and then tap other objects with another finger.
Problem solved!!!!

Selecting multiple objects is currently not supported in PowerPoint for iPad.
If a set of items is already grouped (using a different client like PowerPoint for Windows/Mac), you can move those objects as a group on the iPad.
Thanks for the feedback, and let us know if there is anything else you would like to see improved!
While I appreciate your candor in explaining the lack of this functionality, I have to say that this is a big problem. Being able to select multiple objects at the same time is fundamental to the creation of any type of document or presentation. In fact, I was planning to use PPT for iPad for all my presentation needs, but am no seriously reconsidering.
Currently, if you want to reposition a bunch of things on a page, you have to move each and every single element individually. If you have several objects that need color or line reformatting, you can't so all of that at the same time.
What a pain. It's really cramping my ability tobe productive with this App. And as someone who has been a longtime paid subscriber to Hotmail and who was planning to be a longtime subscriber to Office, I am really quite disappointed.
I hope this is at the top of your update list. Because if it is not, it won't make much sense for me to continue my subscription.
Multi-select is critical. In my opinion the difference between PowerPoint being a brilliant ipad app and an unusable one
come on Microsoft!
Multi select is fundamental to creating anything more complex than the most basic document. I'll be waiting for the next release .....
