Unable to format negative values in excel using parentheses
I recently lost the ability to format negative values in excel using parentheses. (format setting: number, currency, etc)
After doing some research, it appeared that this might be due to the "region" settings of my computer, but I verified that it is set to US.
I recently upgraded to Yosemite and believe this is related to the issue.
anyone have any guidance to fix this issue?
thanks

2014-11-08T17:51:33+00:00 Jim: thanks for staying with this issue. I will send a suggestion to Microsoft. One question though; is this a fix that Microsoft can make or does it have to come form Apple?

The same version of Excel works fine with all other versions of OS X & several users have even confirmed that they had no problem on the same Mac before converting to Yosemite.
