Excel Files won't open when downloading from Microsoft Outlook Web App or when clicking Printable View in Salesforce.com

I just bought and installed Office 2013 a week ago.  Since then I have tried downloading and opening excel files from my company web-mail (Microsoft Outlook Web App) and by clicking Printable View on a Report in Salesforce.com.  In both cases, Excel Opens, but there's a blank page.  I have NO idea how to fix this problem so help is appreciated.

    Hi,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Communities.

Follow the steps mention below to resolve the issues with Excel,

    • Open Excel click on File
    • Click on Options
    • In options click on Advanced and in the General section of the dialog, uncheck the box for "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"

I hope this helped you, if not do get back to us with more information so that we may assist you further.

    Thank you.

    Samuel,

Thank you for the suggestion.  I just reviewed settings and the box was already unchecked so that can't be the problem.  It's frustrating because I didn't have this issue with Office 2007.  Any further suggestions are much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Joe

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply

In my previous post, I did a Typo and suggested to “Uncheck” ignore DDE instead of “Checking” Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

Please check the option to **"Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"**from excel advanced options windows and check if that resolves the issue.

Hope this resolves your issue with Excel. If not, please post back and we’ll help you further.

    Thank you
