"Multiple lines of text" not wrapping in field

Hi Everyone!

I created a field with the properties of "Multiple lines of text" - 6 lines actually. When a user fills out a form and enters information into the 6 line text box, the line scrolls to the right instead of wrapping to the next line. Also, when reviewing the form after submission, the "Multiple lines of text" box only shows one line and you cannot see beyond the right border of the box. To scroll to the right, you have to actually enter the edit mode.

I'm guessing I did something wrong because I cannot imagine this would be designed to behave this way.

I'm using SharePoint O365. Here's a snippet of the properties:

Thanks, Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for your detailed explanation.

I notice that you encounter two issues when using list in SharePoint classical experience and for now you have provided enough information about “a user fills out a form and enters information into the 6-line text box, the line scrolls to the right instead of wrapping to the next line”.

For further investigation, could you also provide the detailed step and related screenshots about “the "Multiple lines of text" box only shows one line and you cannot see beyond the right border of the box” to us by PM?

    Your effort is high appreciated.

    Regards,

    Spike

Spike, here's the PM I sent to Ryan yesterday. Not sure what is the root cause, but it looks like InfoPath2013 is the culprit using some proprietary code that only IE can use - not other browsers.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for your detailed updates.

We need to engage the related team to further assist you on the issue on Chrome (or other browser). Therefore, we need your tenant information for escalating the issue. Please provide us with the required information via private message.

Currently, as we confirmed in the private message, you may use IE 11 as workaround for text wrapping.

    Regards,

    Ryan
