"Multiple lines of text" not wrapping in field

Hi Everyone!

I created a field with the properties of "Multiple lines of text" - 6 lines actually. When a user fills out a form and enters information into the 6 line text box, the line scrolls to the right instead of wrapping to the next line. Also, when reviewing the form after submission, the "Multiple lines of text" box only shows one line and you cannot see beyond the right border of the box. To scroll to the right, you have to actually enter the edit mode.

I'm guessing I did something wrong because I cannot imagine this would be designed to behave this way.

I'm using SharePoint O365. Here's a snippet of the properties:

Thanks, Kevin

No, root cause is still there but at least this workaround fixed the issue.

I agree about workarounds in general. I thought MS was turning their support around and was listening to their customers, but I now feel they are overwhelmed and cannot keep up. Too bad, because these changes and issues are only driving the educational sector away to Google. I am a little shocked MS doesn't see this happening; I sure wish they did as SharePoint is still a powerful tool despite the issues causing users pain.

Msft talks a lot about listening to their customers but clearly they don't. It's never been in their dna. I agree that SP has a lot of potential but it's a mismanaged service focused on the wrong things. If they are "overwhelmed" it's because they refuse to fix things and instead force their 130000 employees to spend their time desperately trying to keep their aging, legacy products relevant. Sadly, a few css tweaks that make up the "modern" experience in SPO don't help resolve any of the core problems in the platform. A well made and managed product needs less support - definitely not the case here.
