    Hi Christoffer,

Regarding the “failed to accept invite” error, I have done some research and found that a community member mentioned that it can take 12-24 hours until the external user is removed from the SharePoint site, so I would suggest you wait for some time and re-invite the user to see if that makes a difference. For your reference:

If the issue persists after waiting for some time, I need your account information for further investigation. To protect your privacy, I have sent you a private message to collect it. You can check the PM via the link below:

    hi christoffer,

according to the error message, the possible scenario for the issue is that we don’t sign in with the correct user account with was shared with. for example, we have signed in with other accounts or the cache accounts stored in the browser which has ever signed in. given the situation, firstly i’d like to confirm whether you have tried the suggestions given by the error page like below.

if you have tried the option “sign in with a different account to this site” and re-sign in with the correct user account with was shared with or using the in private browsing mode and the issue persists, you can try the methods given by lingyu in the following thread to see the outcome. for your reference:

please share the update with us and we will continue to assist you if the issue persists.

    regards,

    allan

    Hi Allan

Took some time for the user to accept the invitation. The good thing is that your solution works! I waited a day and then resend the invitation and now the user has access to the site!

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards,

    Christoffer
