**FIXED** Hubble Content Error | https://hubblecontent.osi.office.net/ContentSVC/Content/Download?provider=MicrosoftIcon&fileName=Document.svg

I purchased Office 365 Home Subscription for Windows 10 on 03/17/17 and subsequently upgraded to the 2016 versions of Word, PowerPoint Excel, etc.  I received an error message in these apps when trying to "INSERT >> ICONS" in PowerPoint.  ICONS are a new feature in the apps that allow one to use pre-drawn black and white symbols of everyday objects (e.g., dogs, headphones, forks, etc.)  It's an .svg file extension and the library is stored online.

After 1 week of frustration and hours upon hours of speaking to Level 2 and then Level 3 Microsoft help desk personnel, here is the fix:

ERROR MESSAGE:

CANNOT FIND https://hubblecontent.osi.office.net/ContentSVC/Content/Download?provider=MicrosoftIcon&fileName=Document.svg

FIX:

Make Internet Explorer your default web browser.  Microsoft products depend upon Internet Explorer to access the online library.  It throws an error when Google Chrome is the default browser.  I know... me too.

Microsoft uninstalled and reinstalled Office 365, tooled with Windows 10, uninstalled and reinstalled my Kaspersky software, etc. but nothing worked.

(NOTE: I never post on this boards and I don't plan on returning.  I just wanted people to know the resolution that worked for me.  The Microsoft techs were very kind and helpful.)

With this whole thing living in the cloud, there's no telling (at least from the Humble User seat, where we sit) what might have gone wrong.

At one point, though, I found that when PPT itself couldn't download an icon directly, I could copy the the URL it complained about in the error message and plug that into the browser (Firefox again) and IT was able to pull down the image.

Whether that was due to a bug in PPT or just a temporary outage that was corrected by the time I tried it in Firefox ....  impossible to say from here in Humble Userland.

@Steve: I am using the Mozilla Firefox and Windows Version 10. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesen't. - which is really annoying. I used some Icons while it worked; later on I wanted to change the colour, but the Menu wasn't visible. I still can't figure out when it works...
